Senior Vice President of Development
Virtual
The Role
Civilization Works seeks a Vice President or Senior Vice President of Development, with the title depending on experience, to oversee all development and a significant portion of the organization’s communications.
Our development strategy is to raise funding for specific projects. The person in this role will own that strategy end to end, from identifying prospects to closing gifts to deepening the commitment of existing donors. He or she will take the day-to-day work of development off the president’s plate so that he can focus on making asks, closing gifts, and staying in continuous communication with donors.
This is a senior leadership position for someone who wants to win, not just run a fundraising department.
The Senior Vice President will report directly to Michael Shellenberger, Founder and President of Civilization Works. The Senior Vice President may work virtually from anywhere in the United States with occasional travel (10%) in the US and abroad.
