Jay Snider, Chair

Jay Snider is an entrepreneur, executive and philanthropist based in Miami, Florida. He is the founder and Chairman of UNIT Solutions which designs and manufacturers non-lethal firearms for both professional and civilian training. Mr. Snider started his first company, SpectaGuard, in the security industry, at 22 years old, and later served as President of the Philadelphia Flyers NHL franchise, and President of Spectacor, a diversified company in sports, exertainment and media.

Mr. Snider is active in preserving our nation’s original enlightenment values, that are best captured in the Declaration of Independence, through the philanthropy of The Jay and Terry Snider Foundation. Jay Is Chairman of the board of Civilization Works and serves on the board of the Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem.

Outside of business and philanthropy he is known as a collector of historic Americana, having had single owner sales of his collections at major auction houses, and is a musician who can often be found onstage with his Rock and Pop band, Agent 18.

His proudest achievement is his 41-year marriage to his high school sweetheart, Terry, along with his 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
